Dr. Barbara Harris is a licensed clinical social worker and a licensed psychologist. She received her bachelor’s degree in social work from Baylor University, her master’s degree in clinical social work from the University of Texas at Arlington, and her doctoral degree in clinical psychology from Argosy University. Her areas of expertise include anxiety disorders, depressive disorders, dynamics of substance abuse, stress management and relaxation skills, grief and trauma resolution.
Dr. Harris has extensive training and experience in providing psychotherapy to children and adolescents, adults, couples, and families. She helps patients discover the basis of their struggles in order to gain an understanding of their lives, to break free from old patterns of thinking, feeling, and behaving. Her treatment model includes goals to increase a sense of empowerment, freedom, and resilience.
