Dr. Osborne graduated from Austin College in 1991 with her Bachelor Degree in Psychology and then
went on to obtain her Psy.D. from Baylor University in 1997. Along the way, she gained clinical
experience working at Head Start Waco, MHMR, Midway ISD, and Temple and Waco VA’s as well as
doing some private practice. In 2000, she joined the team at Baylor Scott and White Waco Clinic
providing outpatient generalist psychological care to patients within a primary care setting. She
remained there for 21 years before joining Waco Psychological Associates as a partner. Dr. Osborne has
attended several conferences taught by Dr. Marsha Linehan and relies heavily on Dialectical Behavioral
Therapy DBT) theories and skills in her current practice. She incorporates evidence based ideas and
strategies from mindfulness, acceptance practices, commitment to life values, distress tolerance, and
emotional regulations. Dr. Osborne also refers often to the teachings of Dr. Brene Brown and her work
on shame, vulnerability and overcoming trauma to live a whole hearted and connected life. Dr.
Osborne strives to create a safe space for patients of various ages and needs by offering compassion,
humor, and active and empathetic listening while at the same time believes strongly that every person
who comes into a session should leave with some insight, skill, or strategy they did not have before.
Dr. Osborne believes it is a privilege to be entrusted with others’ personal stories and provide comfort
and coping strategies through difficult times and enjoys the opportunities provided here to keep doing
so.
