She completed internships in chronic pain, biofeedback, mind body medicine, trauma, and child developmental disorders. She completed her doctoral dissertation studying how the brain and body are impacted by meditation as measured through fMRI. She became board certified in biofeedback because of its power as a scientifically backed self-regulation skill, especially for those experiencing pain, stress, trauma, and anxiety. She went on to complete a post-doctoral fellowship at the Naval Medical Center Portsmouth in Virginia and operated as a Naval Officer and psychologist where she continued to develop expertise in treating psychological factors coinciding with medical conditions, anxiety, depression, trauma, transition, stress, burnout, and first responder stress. She is experienced consulting with leaders to support mental health and solve organization problems, as well as to improve relations, efficiency and morale.
She draws from her experience as an NCAA All-American Wrestler, certified personal trainer, meditation teacher, and certified yoga instructor to offer a holistic approach that focuses on bringing to light and using the strengths an individual already possesses within themselves in order to allow the healthiest and most authentic self to shine. She identifies as Christian and integrates faith and spirituality into therapy for those who are interested. Therapy is offered as a collaborative approach that is tailored to an individual’s specific goals and promotes wellness.
She offers private wellness consultations for those interested in exploring and incorporating complementary and alternative medicine, such as meditation, yoga, biofeedback, faith, spirituality, and other tools designed to enhance the mind-body connection and increase management of one’s physiology. Private wellness consultations are a discrete self-pay option that allows for a depth of content that is not reimbursable or covered by insurance. Private wellness consultations offer a way to explore a personalized approach that helps you feels grounded and safe in your body, and leads you to experience more peace and joy in your life. Private wellness consultations can incorporate mental health treatment as well if desired, and can be conducted in person, over the phone, or through telehealth options.
